Description
Originally released in 1964, the Corum Heritage Coin Watch has an interesting place in horological history, having been owned and worn by several important figures, including Lyndon B. Johnson and Andy Warhol. The design of the Coin Watch is simple yet effective – it features a gold coin as the centerpiece, with straight lugs, baton hands, and a thin Swiss-made movement.
This particular version of the Coin Watch is fashioned out of an American Double Eagle Liberty Head Twenty Dollar Gold Piece from 1904. It is 35 mm in diameter, and is powered by a Swiss automatic movement with a power reserve of approximately 40 hours.
A great dress watch with patriotic appeal, this example of the Heritage Coin Watch is in excellent pre-owned condition, with minimal surface wear on its case. It is fitted with a black lizard strap and yellow PVD-coated tang buckle.
