Founded in Villeret, Switzerland in 1735, Blancpain is the oldest watchmaking brand that is still in existence today. As a “prestige” brand, Blancpain is known for creating watches that are at the top-of-the-line in terms of luxury, precision, and innovation. While most of Blancpain’s contemporary offerings are priced at $10,000 and above, this pre-owned Leman offers you access to the brand at less than half of the normal entry fee.
On the surface, it appears to be a classic, elegant looking dress watch. However, its appeal doesn’t end there. It features a contemporarily-sized 38 mm stainless steel case, 100 meters of water resistance, a screw down crown, and a fully in-house automatic movement that boasts an impressive 100-hour (4-day!) power reserve. Thus, the Leman is a highly capable sports watch disguised as a dress watch. It is a great choice for someone who prefers a dressy aesthetic, yet wants an all-purpose timepiece.
This watch is in excellent pre-owned condition, with minimal surface scratches throughout. It comes with a black alligator strap, and its original stainless steel folding buckle. It recently received a complete service at the Blancpain Service Center.
