Description
Chanel’s timepieces offer a certain quality that few other brands provide. In their trendsetting designs, one can find modern, forward-thinking elements right alongside classic looks and heritage features. Today’s timepiece, the J12, is no exception to this rule.
The first noticeable element of the J12 is its striking black ceramic case. Surprisingly lightweight and reflecting light off every curve of the 38mm case and 7” adjustable bracelet, Chanel sets the tone early. The unidirectional rotating bezel is marked with silvered, legible numerals adding to the watch’s utilitarian feel. Stepping down to the black lacquered dial however, any industrial feel is immediately balanced out by twelve 0.09 carat embedded diamonds set at the hour marker spots. At the center of the watchface is a crosshair element bordered by a ring featuring minute markers. A subtle date indicator window rests at the 4:30 position, blending seamlessly with the rest of the dial. Inside, a Chanel Calibre 12.1 movement keeps time automatically.
