Produced in 1973 as a limited run of 2000 pieces, the Speedmaster 125 was released to commemorate Omega’s 125 year anniversary. It is also noteworthy in that it was the first ever automatic chronograph watch to become certified as a Swiss chronometer. Housed in a cushion style case that measures 42 by 51 mm, the 125 has a distinctive 70’s charm that sets it apart from other watches from the Speedmaster line. Powering the 125 is a Lemania-based caliber 1041, which is COSC-certified and boasts a power reserve of 40 hours. The piece is equipped with 60 meters of water resistance.
This example of the Speedmaster 125 comes with its original product booklet, and is excellent pre-owned condition given its age, with minimal surface wear throughout. It recently received a complete service by our in-house technician, and all functions are working properly. It comes with its original stainless steel bracelet, which will fit wrists up to 7.25” in diameter.
