Description
In commemoration of 140 years of Seiko watches, Grand Seiko has announced a stunning series of GMT watches – the “Seasons” collection comes in four varieties, each marking a different time of year. Housed in identical steel cases with matching bracelets, the watches are differentiated by their dials and movements.
The Grand Seiko Kanro represents the autumn season. With a brooding, dark dial it calls to mind the fading light of fall (especially after Daylight Savings Time!) A partially skeletonized GMT hand points at numerals of a matching color that exists somewhere between orange and gold, reminiscent of fallen leaves. With a 9S86 Hi-Beat movement in the 40.2mm case, the Kanro SBGE271 runs for 55 hours on a full wind. It fits perfectly in Grand Seiko’s pursuit of making the perfect watch.
