Grand Seiko has done it again! In celebration of Seiko’s 140th anniversary, the Iwate based watchmaker takes us around the world with four all-new dial designs on the Grand Seiko Seasons collection. Each timepiece is housed in a steel case with with a 3 o’clock crown. Applied indices and a steel bracelet add to the polished appearance while a display caseback provides a glimpse of the movement within. Announced together in February 2021, each watch salutes a different season.
The Tōji (winter) shows off a textured white dial accented by a pale, gold GMT hand. A 9R66 spring drive movement lives in the 40.2mm case and offers a 3-day power reserve. Beating smoothly at 36,000 vph, the seconds hand moves around the icy dial as smoothly as a descending flake of snow. The Tōji SBGE269 is a fitting tribute to winter’s crispness!
