When the Black Bay arrived on the scene in 2012, it breathed new life into the Tudor brand. Robust features qualified the Black Bay a serious dive watch while thoughtful accents caught the attention of just about everyone in the watch world, making Tudor’s new release an overnight success. While some called it the younger brother to the Rolex Submariner, the Black Bay blazed its own trail as a diver of eminent practicality and design all in a 41mm package.
Then in 2018 at Baselworld, Tudor struck gold again with the introduction of the Black Bay Fifty-Eight. Sized down to 39mm, the first BB 58 was easily as popular as the original. Just one year later, we arrived at today’s watch – the navy blue M79030B-0001. Maintaining the features that made the original BB 58 great while adding a few updates (like availability on bracelet, fabric, or “soft touch” synthetic), the navy blue reference is one of the coolest watches around. With new models coming soon, expect the Fifty Eight line to evolve again as Tudor’s continues changing the game.
