Feldmar Watch Company, Inc. began as a repair business fixing the broken, relinquished watches of New Jersey pawnshops and has evolved into a century-long, family business based in Los Angeles. We hold traditional values close and remain firmly rooted in our family’s history while staying on top of the latest technological advancements and offering collections from the most highly sought-after brands. We have earned a respected place in the luxury watch industry. Follow the evolution of our brand, on the timeline below.

Leadership

Scott J. Meller
President, 4th Generation Family Member

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Scott joined Feldmar Watch Company, Inc. under the tutelage of his father, Sol. As a fourth generation family member, Scott’s forward-thinking business acumen has placed Feldmar on the cutting edge of the luxury timepiece market. Scott’s favorite part about working at Feldmar is being a part of his family’s multi-generational business and having worked alongside his father. His accomplishments are many, including the expansion and remodel of the Feldmar flagship store, as well as a second location inside The Beverly Hilton.

Since attending Santa Monica College, Scott has become an expert in the technical aspects of the timepieces sold at Feldmar. Each year, he travels to Switzerland—the watchmaking capital of the world—to attend the Baselword Watch & Jewelry Fair and build upon his extensive knowledge of this quickly-evolving industry.

Scott is very proud of the way Feldmar customers are put first: “We regularly go out of our way to meet the needs of our clients. A client once purchased a rather significant watch as a birthday gift for his brother who lived in New York. Our client asked how we were going to deliver the gift and we responded with the typical answer, we would ship it by FedEx. After we answered his question, we could tell that he wanted a more personalized experience for the delivery and offered to have it hand-delivered by one of our associates. He lit up at the thought, and so off went one of our associates to New York City for the day to hand-deliver the gift.”

With several major accomplishments behind him, Scott looks forward to an even brighter future as Feldmar Watch Company, Inc. begins a new chapter in its legacy.

Jamie C. Hayes
Operations Manager

Jamie, whose first love had always been watches, worked at a local jewelry store that brought all of their repairs to Feldmar, coincidentally enough. Through this job, Jamie built a rapport with Sol and Scott and eventually, Sol offered Jamie a position to help run the business alongside his son. Jamie started in sales at Feldmar and became known as the self-titled, “Firefighter,” (a nickname used by Cartier) and is now the Operations Manager.

Jamie takes great pride in working at Feldmar: “I really love the people we help and the staff we have. I like helping a client hallmark an occasion with a great watch. We could tell several stories about our business moving heaven and earth to get a piece to meet a short deadline. It’s always a thrill to fly somewhere to deliver a piece only to return in time to finish working that day!”

In three words, Jamie would describe Feldmar Watch Company, Inc. as, “Unique, Great, and Fun.”
