In 1926, Edgardo Rustioni completed his apprenticeship and qualified as an “Artigiano Pellettiere,” a leather craftsman in the age-old tradition of Italian leather craftsmanship. Underwood, founded in 1945, has remained in the hands of the Rustioni family since then. In 1990, the company launched a new, comprehensive collection of luxury leather goods, watches and pens, including the unique “Underwood Modular Winding System.”
This modular system of watch winders is specifically designed with the watch collector in mind, to safely store and maintain automatic watches. The system allows you to remove one or more watch winders for storage in a safe or to bring it with you during travel. All Underwood watch winders are manufactured in their factory in Florence and are powered by Swiss movements—a technology to safekeep your investment.
