Clean and simple is the order of the day when it comes to the Longines Silver Arrow. Part of the Heritage collection, Longines has harkened back to earlier models including the original Silver Arrow watch from 1956. The updated version is just as clean as its forerunner with a simple three-hand layout set against a silver opaline dial. Notice the polished, striated indices – more than almost any other aspect, they lend a serious vintage look to the watch. On the reverse, an engraved caseback hides the Caliber L888.5 movement which offers a full 3-day power reserve when fully wound. Another thoughtful touch – the caseback screw points are moved in from the edge, giving it a clean, uninterrupted look when viewed at an angle. Slightly larger than the original at 38mm, the Heritage Silver Arrow is still a manageable size and when completed with the matte brown, soft leather strap, makes for an elegant yet simple harkening to a bygone era of watch styling.
