Description
Released in 2012 as part of Fortis’ celebration collection for the brand’s 100th anniversary, the Marinemaster Vintage Chronograph harkens back to the brand’s roots as a dive watch manufacturer. Featuring the signature color elements that make a Fortis timepiece easily identifiable, the 800.20.173 exhibits yellow rimmed subdials on black dial densely packed with features. Around the dial’s edge runs a tachymeter while the pushers on the side expertly operate the chronograph features. Above the 6’oclock 12 hour timer subdial reads “Limited Edition”, reference to the series bounded run of just 500 pieces.
The original black calfskin strap with white stitching sits securely on the wrist and when not worn, the exhibition caseback provides a glimpse of Fortis’ automatic 47-jewel movement.
