Nestled in the Swiss mountains of Le Locle, Tissot has been crafting watches for over 170 years. Founded by Charles-Félicien Tissot, a gold case-fitter, and his son Charles-Émile, a watchmaker, the brand quickly gained international recognition for its finely crafted gold pendant and pocket watches. In 1907, Tissot built its first factory in Le Locle, where its headquarters remain today.
In the 1910s, Tissot expanded into wristwatches for women, followed by men’s models. A pivotal moment came in 1917 when the brand began producing its own movements, ensuring Swiss quality at accessible prices.
Today, Tissot continues to push the boundaries of watchmaking, blending heritage with innovation.
