In 1985, Junghans produced the first radio-controlled table clock, accurate to a single second in a million years. By 1990, they had miniaturized that radio control technology to fit into a wristwatch, creating the world’s first radio-controlled watch, a milestone in cutting-edge technology and futuristic design.
In 1993, Junghans created a new worldwide sensation with an autonomous wristwatch that draws energy from the sun while a radio signal allows it to always display the exact time. Since then, they have continued to innovate, culminating in today’s multi-frequency, radio-controlled movement. Time never stands still, and the engineers at Junghans never stop chasing the future.
