Description
The Arnold and Son Longitude II is a beautiful relic of early 2000s rugged and refined watchmaking. Featured in Arnold & Son’s range dating back to 2005, the Longitude II packs a GMT function and a solar compass operated with the crown at 4 o’clock. With a push of the button at 3 o’clock, a hunter style caseback flips out and features a guide to solar corrections for navigation.
This special version of the Arnold and Son Longitude II is named “Arctic” as a tribute to the watchmaker’s own expedition in 2003, the “Arnold & Son Trans Atlantic Arctic Expedition.” Captained by famed adventurer and former SAS captain, Bear Grylls, the mission saw the crew’s successful unassisted crossing of the 3000-mile, freezing North Atlantic Ocean in the Arctic circle in nothing but a 11-meter RIB vessel for 15 days.
