The Longines Master Collection GMT World Time is a great representation of what the brand offers: it gives collectors an opportunity to own a beautiful Swiss luxury wristwatch with a classic complication at an extremely attractive price point.
The Longines GMT World Time features an inner bezel ring with the names of key cities situated in each of the 24 world time zones. Located under that ring is a 24 hour scale that indicates the time in each respective time zone. Upon pulling the crown out to its second position, the user is able to rotate the 24 hour scale to correspond with the correct time zone. Moreover, the GMT World Time features a “jumping” hour hand, which means that the hour hand can be adjusted in one hour increments, making the piece a user-friendly travel watch.
With its 38.5 mm stainless steel case, finely grained silver dial with blue accents, and brown alligator grain strap, the GMT World Time boasts a classic aesthetic that works well in both casual and dressy situations. The piece is powered by a modified version of the venerable ETA 2824 movement, which can be viewed through a sapphire caseback.
This particular example comes with its original strap and stainless steel deployant buckle. It is in excellent pre-owned condition, with slight scratches on its case.
