Description
For years, Breitling has been playing with the “Blackeye Blue” template. Chronographs including the SuperOcean Heritage and Chronomat have previously received the blue dial/black subdial treatment. The most recent addition to the club is the 2022 Navitimer which not only perfects the black-blue combo but also enjoys the distinction of being the smallest automatic B01 Navitimer Chronograph yet!
Breitling’s next-generation B01 movement had the watch world talking when it debuted in 2009. In the years since, it has made its way into almost every Breitling chronograph and helped solidify Breitling’s reputation for world-class, in-house movements. Until this year however, the B01 has typically only been found in watch cases 42mm and larger. Watch fans with a hankering for a smaller variety will be happy to experience the all-new 41mm Navitimer flavors for 2022 including the “Blackeye Blue” variants available on either bracelet or black alligator leather.
We’re also loving the new home of the date feature, previously found at the 4:30 spot but now moved to the bottom of the 6 o’clock subdial. A cleaner, simpler seconds-hand complements the Breitling “wings” logo which itself replaces the previous cursive “B”, just above the center post. And with a slimmer case, the 41mm Navitimer is even more wearable than before.
