Description
While Blancpain is well known for its Fifty Fathoms collection of high performance dive watches, the Villeret line is a foundational mainstay of the brand. Created in 1983 by Jaques Piguet and Jean-Claude Biver, the Villeret line is named for the town where Blancpain was founded in 1735. The Villeret line was meant to feature complicated dress watches in elegant casings. The line has survived until this day in the same timeless design.
This example of the Blancpain Villeret is the epitome of the design created by Piguet and Biver. In 18k rose gold with a white dial, the watch is stunning in person. The applied rose gold numerals catch the light while a uniquely shaped pointer hand indicates the date at the dial’s edge. It’s all part of the Villeret’s namesake complete calendar and moonphase complications.
