Description
Cartier has always been a brand known for its innovation and creativity in case shape and design. In 1904, founder Louis-François Cartier created a watch for his Brazilian pilot friend Alberto Santos-Dumont that could be easily read while flying. This watch was strapped to the wrist and was by many accounts the first wristwatch. Years later, the watchmaker debuted a smaller version of the same watch, calling it the Panthère. Presented on a more delicate high-polished 5 link bracelet and with a slightly more rounded case and bezel, it was a refined version of the original.
This Cartier Panthère is featured in 18k yellow gold and has an off-white dial. Cartier’s signature blue cabochon in the crown matches the blue hands. The Panthere also has the traditional Roman numerals found on watches across Cartier’s range.
