Founded in 1911 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Ebel is known for producing quality Swiss watches that exude a sense of understated elegance. Though the brand was successful in the early to mid 20th century, it wasn’t until 1977 that Ebel’s popularity would really take off. It was in this year that they introduced what would become their most iconic design – the Sport Classic. The Sport Classic featured a curved, hexagonal case with exposed screws on the bezel. It also came with a thin integrated bracelet, making for a very fluid, seamless design.
With its flowing curves and hexagonal case, this 1911 is an extension of the original design language that made the Sport Classic so popular. Its 18kt yellow gold and stainless steel case is sized conservatively at 33.5 mm, making it a great size for men and women, alike. It features a Swiss made quartz movement, a sleek black dial with gold Roman markers, and is water resistant to 30 meters.
This example of the Ebel 1911 is in excellent pre-owned condition, with very slight surface scratches evident on its case and bracelet.
