Despite being best known for their immense automotive racing heritage, Tag Heuer also has a huge past creating watches for recreational and professional use under water. In the 1970s Heuer first released their first diving watch. This watch was built on principles of robust utilitarian use. In the 1980s when the Heuer brand was incorporated into Tag Heuer, they again released a dive watch, but this time with a focus on fashion and widespread appeal to popular culture. In 2004, the Aquaracer line was born, merging both the durability and stylishness of their 1970s and 1980s dive watches.
This Aquaracer fits both of the criteria that Tag Heuer attempted to make. The watch boasts 300 meters of water resistance and a 38 hour power reserve. The watch’s bezel takes on a 12-sided dodecagon shape and is made of black ceramic. This contrasts drastically with the hot pink dial and hour markers featuring 8 diamonds. This Aquaracer is on a stainless steel bracelet and features a quick adjust clasp.
