Description
The world of horology is a big one. The tent that covers world famous brands like Rolex and Seiko also covers smaller, less common ones like Roger Dubuis. However, as anyone familiar with watchmaking – or innovation in general – will tell you, it’s often the so-called “outsiders” that most effectively disrupt and move the field forward.
So we are excited to showcase an uncommon find in our preowned case, the Roger Dubuis Too Much ladies timepiece. In keeping with the name of the watch, the Too Much is adorned – let me say that again – adorned with diamonds, down to the uniquely shaped tri-pronged lugs and the four uniquely styled patches of jewels set upon the mother-of-pearl dial. Few watchmakers make the design decisions that Roger Dubuis makes, including the branding straight down the middle through the dial. A black crocodile leather strap is more of a cuff, adding even more presence to an already eye-catching watch while the blued hands are simple, absent even of a second hand. All in, the Too Much represents an important design, material-oriented echelon of watchmaking that is often overlooked in the world of horology.
