The Speedmaster Professional undisputed claim to fame was during the Apollo missions. Out of many watchmaker’s chronograph designs, the Speedmaster Professional came out on top after numerous rigorous durability tests. Over the decades, the Speedmaster Professional took many trips into outer space, accompanying astronauts throughout their missions. The Speedmaster Mark III introduced Omega’s first automatic chronograph caliber.
This Speedmaster Mark III is featured in the iconic hooded case that wraps over the wrist with a lugless design. The automatic caliber in this watch lends the thick and chunky nature of the watch that wears prominently on the wrist. This watch has a matte black dial and only two chronograph registers at 6 and 9 o’clock.
