Event Recap: Frederique Constant with Jack Forster, Jason Gong, and New Stone Dial Watches

On Thursday, September 18, Feldmar Watch Company welcomed Frederique Constant for an evening dedicated to the debut of its newest timepieces, including two never-before-seen stone dial watches in turquoise and lapis lazuli from the Classic Manufacture collection.

As music played and friends gathered, guests enjoyed a thoughtful menu of passed hors d’oeuvres, local craft beers from Paperback Brewing, and specialty cocktails crafted for the occasion—including the Timeless Fashion, a refined take on the Old Fashioned, and the Blue Moon(phase), a playful spin on the Blue Lagoon.

The night was enriched by the insights of Jack Forster, Global Editorial Director at The 1916 Company, and Jason Gong, Founder of Complecto. In a lively Q&A session moderated by Ben Scheidt, Feldmar’s Store Director, the two shared their perspectives on design, collecting, and the cultural significance of watches, creating an engaging dialogue that resonated with guests. To cap off the discussion, Feldmar and Frederique Constant hosted a drawing for two watchwinders, adding a sense of excitement and surprise that sent a pair of lucky guests home with something extra special.

At the center of the evening were the stone dial models themselves. Each dial, cut from turquoise and lapis lazuli reveals textures and colors unlike any other, ensuring every piece in the collection stands as a one-of-a-kind expression of craftsmanship.

Feldmar Watch Company extends sincere thanks to Frederique Constant, to Jack Forster and Jason Gong for sharing their expertise, to Ben Scheidt for guiding the discussion, and to everyone who joined us for a memorable evening celebrating innovation, artistry, and community in watchmaking.
