Meet the #FeldmarFamily: Jimmy Inglish
Meet Jimmy Inglish, Customer Service Representative and Social Media Director at Feldmar Watch Company!
When did you start working at Feldmar? February 2019
What is your favorite part of your job? I learn something new every single day, whether it be about watches, the industry, or business in general. I also love getting to know customers, and helping a customer find a watch that he or she really loves.
What was your first watch? The watch that started it all was a grey Casio Baby-G – I picked it out when I was around 10 years old. It had that “shock resistant” padded cage around the dial, which I thought was extremely cool. I was obsessed with it, and I still have it to this day!
What is your favorite watch in your collection and why? My favorite watch in my collection is my Grand Seiko SBGM221. It has a classic, interesting design with a cream dial, blue accents, and a dark cherry brown alligator strap. And GS’s Zaratsu polishing really takes it over the top. It makes me feel like Ron Burgundy when I wear it.
What is your dream watch? It’s hard to narrow it down to just one watch, but one of my grails is the AP 15202 with a blue dial. To me, the 15202 is the closest modern iteration of the original Royal Oak, the reference 5402. Yes, it’s one of the most hyped up watches in the world. But in my opinion, the Royal Oak is the most legendary steel sports watch ever, and it was designed by my favorite watch designer, Gerald Genta. Just cant argue with it.
How long have you lived in the LA area? I moved to LA from San Antonio shortly after high school in 2007, and I’ve been here ever since!
What’s your favorite thing to do when you aren’t working? I like to take photos, play basketball, and hang out with my 100 lb German Shepherd/Husky mix, Reginald Wilkerson.
If timepieces were never invented, what do you think you’d be doing right now? If I wasn’t working in watches, I’d be working in recovery, helping people with mental health and addiction.
