Trends to Watch Out For
It’s always exciting to see brands debut their latest models and technologies at Baselworld. While 2016 was all about the classics and 2017 was the year of vintage-inspired timepieces, what can we expect to see at this year’s show? Our very own Operations Manager and Baselworld veteran, Jamie Hayes, has the following predictions:
- Color will be big this year. Not necessarily bold and in-your-face, but existing products in new, innovative colors.
- The vintage look will still be very strong with brands digging into their archives and looking towards the past for a “brighter” future.
- Simplicity will make a big comeback this year. I think elegant design will win out vs. extreme engineering.
Will Jamie’s predictions ring true? We will be sure to report back during and after the show.
