Event Recap: World Watch Day with Glashütte Original
Last Thursday, Feldmar Watch Company proudly hosted Glashütte Original for the very first World Watch Day—a new celebration of watchmaking that takes place each year on October 10 (the date, 10/10, is a nod to the classic 10:10 hand position seen on timepieces in many displays and photos).
Friends, collectors, and enthusiasts gathered for an afternoon filled with fine craftsmanship and camaraderie. Guests enjoyed local beers from Paperback Brewing, served in engraved Glashütte Original beer glasses, and took home gift bags thoughtfully prepared for the occasion. The highlight of the event was an exclusive first look at Glashütte Original’s new porcelain dial watches, a testament to the brand’s dedication to artistry, precision, and heritage.
The warm, convivial atmosphere was made even more special thanks to Stephen, Ali, and the entire Glashütte Original team, whose hospitality and expertise made the evening truly memorable.

Born in Washington state, Tom developed an interest in photography during college at University of San Diego. There, he got started in music journalism, interviewing artists and taking photos at concerts. A life-long tinkerer and collector, it wasn’t long before Tom became fascinated with fountain pens and watches.
Those interests collided in November 2020 when Tom started at Feldmar Watch Company where he lives out every watch geek’s dream: photographing and writing about timepieces.
