Team USA’s overall performance in Milan has been decidedly mixed. For each Mikaela Shiffrin story, there seems to be an Ilia Malinin-like moment. Not to be deterred, our own Quad God, Scott, is skating purely for the honor of watches, specifically the ones we have on display this week. Read on, and hope that the hotness of these watches doesn’t melt the ice beneath him!

RESSENCE TYPE 1

This Type 1 wins the gold here — well, rose gold to be exact. Here’s an avant-garde, self-winding timepiece with a 42.7 mm grade-5 titanium case and a convex dial that displays the time using Ressence’s signature orbital system of rotating satellites. It features a double-domed sapphire crystal, 36-hour power reserve, and limited-edition production.

The Japanese are having themselves a pretty good time in Italy — probably because they have such an awesome watch brand on their side. This GS is a bold 44mm stainless-steel example powered by the legendary Spring Drive movement, offering a 72-hour power reserve, GMT functionality, and water resistance to 200 meters.

TAG HEUER CARRERA CHRONOGRAPH

We’d love to see F1 cars on the ice for the winter games. Until then let’s just dream of this Carrera Chrono with TAG Heuer’s signature “glassbox” crystal that reaches all the way down past the edge of the dial. If you like your Olympic medals, this one makes the podium. The BR‑03 Diver Black Bronze is a bold, square-cased professional dive watch featuring a 42 mm CuSn8 bronze case that develops a natural patina over time. It’s also paired with a glossy black dial and a unidirectional rotating bezel for dive timing.

CASIO G-SHOCK ORIGAMI

While you can’t really fold this watch into a crane, it still is a bold choice built on the classic square G-SHOCK silhouette.
