Introducing: Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition

Kermit once said “it’s not easy being green” but, after seeing the latest release from Oris, we beg to differ.

Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition

Part of the Oris X Disney’s “The Muppets” collaboration, the ProPilot X Kermit launches today, March 27th, 2023 at the Watches & Wonders show. The timepiece is based on the 39mm titanium ProPilot X Calibre 400 featuring a Kermit-green dial and a see-through sapphire glass case back.

Kermit Day: A Reminder to be Seriously Unserious

When asked about this timepiece, Oris’ creative director, Ken Laurent said this: “We talk a lot about functions in a literal sense, but really, the purpose of an Oris watch is to make people smile. That’s it. And with the ProPilot X Kermit Edition, there’s nothing else to it. Ok, yes, it’s powered by a brilliant movement and the case design is spectacular, but the function of this watch is really simple: to bring joy.”

It’s safe to say this timepiece will bring happiness to those who wear it month after month. On the first of every month, the date window at 6 o’clock will be filled with a Kermit the Frog emoji, signifying “Kermit Day,” a day dedicated to not taking life to seriously and to having some fun. Who better to remind us than the most carefree frog on the planet?

Functionally Fun

Proudly sporting Oris’ Caliber 400 movement, the ProPilot X Kermit Edition is as serious as it is fun. Developed in-house by Oris, this mechanism comes with a 10-year warranty and offers a best-in-class 120 hours of power reserve! The high-tech lightweight titanium case is one tough cookie, ready for whatever adventure lies ahead.

Sure to be as influential as the green guy himself, discover the Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition at Feldmar!

About The Author: Tom Roth

Born in Washington state, Tom developed an interest in photography during college at University of San Diego. There, he got started in music journalism, interviewing artists and taking photos at concerts. A life-long tinkerer and collector, it wasn’t long before Tom became fascinated with fountain pens and watches.

Those interests collided in November 2020 when Tom started at Feldmar Watch Company where he lives out every watch geek’s dream: photographing and writing about timepieces. When he’s not tinkering with his watch collection, Tom can be found traveling, biting his nails while watching PNW sports teams, and taking flying lessons.
