Model Spotlight: Meet the New Breitling Super Chronomat 44
Following the extremely successful re-launch of the Chronomat collection at this time last year, Breitling has announced a new line of all-purpose performance sports watches, the Super Chronomat. And, if we had to describe these models in two words, they would be big and bold. Let’s take a look…
At 44mm in size, there’s no denying that the Super Chronomat is large. It’s sure to make a statement on the wrist, but tweaked design features—like lowered lugs—ensure it is comfortable to wear and a perfect fit for every scenario.
For a sophisticated look, the watch can be optioned on the iconic Rouleaux bracelet, featuring 100+ brushed and polished components. For those seeking a more casual look, Breitling has introduced a brand-new Rouleaux-inspired rubber strap featuring matte, textured and shiny rubber in black, blue or brown.
This is also the first Chronomat to feature ceramic components. The inserts are all encased in steel for protection, offering the best of both worlds—the shininess of the ceramic with the strength of steel. Dial colors are offered in matte black, cobalt blue or sunburst brown.
There are two options for the movement—the bulletproof B01 Chronograph (14.45mm thick, 200m water resistance) or the more uncommon Four-Year Calendar Chronograph (14.55mm thick, 100m water resistance), which keeps track of the day, date and month for 1461 days. One reference features the UTC module, an independent quartz movement on the steel bracelet that keeps track of a second time zone.
As always, every Breitling comes with chronometer certification provided by COSC, ensuring remarkable precision.
