2018 — One Heck of a Year
It’s hard to believe that 2018 is already nearly over. It was a heck of a year – I had some fantastic watch-related adventures, met some incredible watch people and, most importantly, saw and reviewed a host of great new watches. As a result of having such an awesome 2018, I have high hopes for 2019.
In 2018, I went to Miami, New York several times, LA, Las Vegas, the Shaolin Temple in China, Shanghai, the Montblanc and much more.
As part of my job as editor in chief of Revolution USA, I pair vehicles with watches. This year, I tested the Jeep Trackhawk (with the Favre-Leuba Raider Harpoon timepiece), a Triumph Tiger 800 dual sport while testing both Rolex Explorers, an Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio with a Giuliano Mazzuoli Contagiri watch, the Indian Chieftain motorcycle paired with a Baume & Mercier watch, a Porsche 911S with a Glashütte Original watch and many more. I love getting to ride and drive these great vehicles and enjoy wearing these watches, even if it’s just for a brief time.
Throughout the many years I’ve been in the watch industry, I have been dedicated to going wherever I have to in order to cover the best watch stories from around the world. I don’t want to make it sound like a hardship, as it is a fantastic job and one I love doing. You can count on me continuing to do just that.
For 2019, I will be covering the SIHH in January for the next blog, and then getting ready for Watches & Wonders Miami in February, then Baselworld in March and Las Vegas in May. It’s going to be a busy New Year!
For now, though, I want to take the time to say thank you, dear reader, for your attention and I wish you all the greatest holiday season.
Happy holidays, and here’s to a great 2019.
