FeldFellas: Our Top Movie Watches

There are iconic watches, and there are iconic movies, and when those two combine the result can be legendary. Here are our top movie watches, the ones that will make you stand out in a crowd like a…well, like a movie star.

Omega Seamaster 300M James Bond 007 “No Time to Die” Edition

watch from james bond no time to die

This is the ninth time James Bond has worn an Omega timepiece beneath the French cuff of his tuxedo, and Omega has honored that shared history with a watch that combines unique elements of each Seamaster model. The “No Time to Die” Edition features sand-colored hour markers and SuperLumiNova on the hands against a black dial with red and white accents. The case, bezel, and crown is crafted from grade 2 titanium—lightweight, yet rugged.

Designed in consultation with Daniel Craig, the face of the Bond franchise since 2006, this timepiece has proven to be one of the most popular Omega’s in recent memory! Commemorating Craig’s final appearance as 007, this watch is a tough yet clandestine counterpart with class to spare – just like Bond!

Seiko Prospex SNJ025 “Arnie” from Predator

watch from predator

You may not be Arnold Schwarzenegger battling an extraterrestrial killing machine, but with this watch on your wrist you’ll be ready to join the fight. Made famous by its appearance in films like Predator and Commando, the original Seiko H558-5009 has been updated! Known as the “Solar Arnie”, the new version retains the original’s distinctive profile, while adding modern features like a solar quartz movement! The Seiko Prospex SNJ025 has the distinctive tuna can-like case shape, with screw-down crown, screw-in caseback, and unidirectional rotating bezel. The stainless steel and plastic case is matched with a black silicone strap. 200 meters of water resistance, so you’ll be just as comfortable underwater as in the jungle.

IWC Pilot’s Watch Automatic “Top Gun”

iwc top gun

Celebrate the world of aviation with the IWC “Top Gun”! While it never appeared in the films, the Pilot’s Watch is actually a real-world counterpart for many US Navy pilots flying in the elite Top Gun school! And while some watches are meant to be worn with a tuxedo, the IWC Pilot’s Watch Automatic “Top Gun” is more at home with a leather flight jacket. The sleek black zirconium oxide ceramic case is paired with an anti-reflective convex sapphire crystal, and black dial with luminescence for superior legibility, with a black textile strap to complete the look. The IWC 82100 caliber movement is shielded by a soft-iron inner case for magnetic field protection. When you feel the need, the need for speed, this is the watch you need.

Breguet Tradition Grande Complication 7047 from Batman v. Superman

watch from batman vs. superman

Superman may be an all-powerful superhero from another world, but when it comes to the watches that their alter egos wear in 2016’s Batman v. Superman, Clark Kent has nothing on Bruce Wayne. The Breguet Tradition Grand Complication 7047 Fusée Tourbillon that Bruce wears in the movie is one fit for a billionaire philanthropist, with a stunning platinum case and sapphire caseback. The silvered gold dial features a tourbillon carriage and off-centered hours and minutes dial. When we spotted this on Batman’s wrist, we had to do a double-take. Of course, it makes sense that a discrete and discerning character like Bruce Wayne would choose a timepiece to match. Full of hidden features, the Tradition series is the perfect pairing for the Dark Knight!

Hamilton Khaki Field “Murph” from Interstellar

watch from interstellar

There are actually two Hamilton watches that figure prominently in the movie Interstellar—the Khaki Pilot Day Date that Matthew McConaughey’s character wears (called the “Coop”), and the “Murph”, worn by his daughter in the film, Murphy. Designed by Hamilton specifically for the character, the “Murph” is a showstopper, available in either 42mm or 38mm. With a stainless steel case, open caseback, and black dial with luminous hands, it’s both timeless and elegant. And did you know that Hamilton has been featured on the big screen more than any other watch brand? It’s true! In a film that’s all about time, you’ve gotta have the right watch, and rarely has a watch featured so prominently – and so perfectly – into the storyline of a film.

Those interests collided in November 2020 when Tom started at Feldmar Watch Company where he lives out every watch geek’s dream: photographing and writing about timepieces. When he’s not tinkering with his watch collection, Tom can be found traveling, biting his nails while watching PNW sports teams, and taking flying lessons.
