Hot List: April 24, 2026
Why fear the inevitable robot takeover when you can embrace it? Scott has taken the latter approach and was recently spotted completing a half-marathon in record-breaking time! We told him there were some sweet new watches at the finish line and the human part of this half-man, half-machine hybrid just had to see them for himself. Take a look at what got his motor running on this week’s Hot List!
BLANCPAIN VILLERET QUANTIÈME COMPLET
The robots may be taking over, but if you look at this Villeret long enough, you’ll forget about all that. (At least for a minute.) The 41mm steel case is as comfortable as it is sleek, its opaline dial goes with anything, the blue alligator strap adds a subtle pop of color, and the moonphase highlights the sheer elegance of its mechanics.
TUDOR ROYAL
The updated Royal collection features the signature T-fit clasp (not affiliated with Cyberdyne Systems) on all of its bracelets. The current Royal line of succession boasts a variety of new dial colors – including green, salmon, and two different shades of blue. If this piece doesn’t make you feel like a monarch, I don’t know what will. Wait…
SEIKO ROTOCALL
Nothing did “obsessed with robots” quite like the 80’s. And nothing does “obsessed with the 80’s” quite like the 2020s. The Rotocall pays homage to a fan-favorite of the past, the “Seiko Astronaut.” The rotary bezel switches between eight different modes, and the hardlex crystal and stainless steel case give it a polished, retro aesthetic. Go ahead, embrace the nostalgia.
CHOPARD ALPINE EAGLE 41
Speaking of the 80s, this piece also gets its inspiration from the sporty-chic (Chopard term) 1980s St. Moritz model. The Alpine Eagle is named for its distinctive dial which emulates the iris of an eagle’s eye. Pretty cool, right? It has an extra-thin case, a comfort-extension integrated bracelet, and comes in a wide range of sizes from 33mm to 44mm.
GRAND SEIKO SLGB023
When we think robots and the ocean, we think Pacific Rim the Ushio 300. The gradient blue dial and Ushio wave pattern mirrors the way light reflects on the ocean’s surface. Its diamond-cut indexes and broad hands enhance legibility underwater. Also, both the case and bracelet are made of high-intensity titanium (…just like the Terminator 👀).
FREDERIQUE CONSTANT MANUFACTURE CLASSIC
This piece really puts the “world” in “Worldtimer” with its unobstructed world map on the dial. The navy blue sunray finish and embossed continents add subtle texture, and the two-tone 24hr disk makes it easy to distinguish day (white) from night (dark blue). It’s giving MU/TH/UR Earth.
TAG HEUER F1 SOLARGRAPH
I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe… F1 Solargraphs in TH-Polylight cases off the shoulder of La Chaux-de-Fonds. I watched Super-LumiNova® indexes glitter in the dark. Near the Geneva Gates. All these limited edition pastels will be bought in time, like tears in rain. Time…to Opaline dial…
