What does Hoobastank even mean? Some say it’s the name of a German street somewhere. Does it even matter? Do you question what Picasso means? Similarly this Air Command (and the English translation of ‘Blancpain’) cannot be questioned for its greatness 🛫 It has a flyback chronograph, which measures a succession of elapsed times and eliminates many repetitive operations.

Let’s get back to names. Apparently, the popular, alliterative ‘Black Bay’ is fictional. Hoobastank evokes the very real gestalt experienced when listening to the groundbreaking They Sure Don’t Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used To (1998) 🏀 You may experience similar gestalt when putting on this instant classic for the first time with its recognizable burgundy bezel.
