OMEGA: A History of Olympic Excellence
OMEGA has been the “official timekeeper” of the Olympic games since the 1932 Games of the X Olympiad in Los Angeles, for which they provided 30 stunning stopwatches. As many watch aficionados know, since the 1950s they have also commemorated the Olympics with special, limited edition watches that are much sought after by collectors. Beginning with an 18K gold Seamaster created for the 1956 Melbourne games, and continuing to this day, OMEGA has celebrated Olympic excellence with a series of commemorative timepieces that combine award-winning design with technological innovation.

Olympic Games “Rio 2016” Collection
The master watchmakers at OMEGA created three timepieces in tribute to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (Fun fact, Scott attended the 2016 Olympic Games!). The Seamaster Diver 300M Rio 2016 is sporty and elegant, inspired by the musical rhythm of Rio de Janeiro. It features a stainless steel case, and a wave-pattern dial inspired by the iconic Copacabana sidewalk mosaic. The polished black ceramic bezel ring has lacquered numerals in blue, yellow, green and red, representing the five colors of the Olympic rings. The Seamaster Bullhead Rio 2016 is highlighted by a blue leather strap with multi-colored stitching in yellow, green, red and black. This color scheme continues on the rotating inner-bezel, signifying unity. The Speedmaster Mark II Rio 2016 is a chronograph with three sub-dials decorated with a bronze ring, an 18K yellow gold ring and a 925 silver ring. It features a steel case and bracelet, and a matt black dial.
