Hot list: March 22, 2024
Spring has sprung. Temperatures are rising. It was 80 degrees near our store a couple days ago! 🔥 It’s been so hot that our illustrious leader, Scott, couldn’t pose for this week’s email banner. But we do have some good news, watch fans. Below are a list of timepieces so hot that you’ll be yearning for those frigid February temperatures from only weeks ago. Let’s get to it!
OMEGA SEAMASTER AQUA TERRA 150M 38MM
We said it many times already, but it bears repeating: the Aqua Terra is a near perfect go anywhere, do anything (GADA) watch. Not only is it versatile and easy on the eyes, its certified chronometer is powered by the OMEGA Master calibre 8800 💪 And don’t forget you have options with a rubber or metal bracelet.
GIRARD-PERREGAUX LAUREATO CHRONOGRAPH TI49
If you’re of a certain age, you may remember the TI99 computer, which had a whopping 16 KB or RAM 🤓 Your current phone now has 500,000 times more power–almost as powerful as this GP TI49, which sports the first ever titanium case in a Laureato!
BULGARI OCTO FINISSIMO SKELETON 8 DAYS
Ever think to yourself, ‘where will I be 8 days from now?’ Hopefully retiring off of your new Powerball winnings 💰This NEW Octo Finissimo in titanium with an ultra-thin manufacture movement (2.50 mm thick!) can still muster an 8 day power reserve, viewed through its gorgeous openwork dial.
BREITLING CHRONOMAT B01 18KT RED GOLD
This Chronomat (another great GADA choice) features a 42mm case and the iconic bezel with the four rider tabs. Here in 18k red gold 👑 with an anthracite dial, the Chronomat is matched to a black rubber strap and is powered by the in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01.
IWC INGENIEUR AUTOMATIC 40
Although IWC introduced the Ingenieur in 1955, the name of this watch family is most frequently associated with legendary designer, Gérald Genta. This new version is one of IWC’s most anticipated arrivals in the last year. Unlike earlier iterations, this Ingenieur features a case, bezel, and bracelet made of Grade 5 Titanium steel 🧨
CHOPARD MILLE MIGLIA CLASSIC CHRONOGRAPH
Unless you want the lyrics stuck in your head the rest of the day, don’t look up the English translation of “Mille Miglia“! Instead, focus on the 40.5mm case and prominent pushers made from Chopard’s exclusive ultra-tough Lucent Steel™. Then make your way downtown, walking fast, to Feldmar.
BREITLING NAVITIMER B01 CHRONOGRAPH 41
The Navitimer is Breitling’s column-wheel chronograph classic, first introduced in 1954. This edition is a very wrist-friendly 41mm – the same case size as the original “Navis”! Like the slide rule bezel, things really do come full circle ⭕️
ZENITH DEFY SKYLINE SKELETON
I ‘defy’ you to find a better skeleton watch 🤦♂️ I guess a pun really is its own ‘reword ‘🤦♀️ Let’s try again: Seamlessly integrating an open dial with an open-worked version of the El Primero movement, this Zenith cleverly evokes the image of city skylines with its integrated case and bracelet.
GIRARD-PERREGAUX LAUREATO 42MM
Take a look at this watch. Can you see how the dial encompasses the symbolism of the virescent hue? That’s just a fancy way of saying that it’s green. Now don’t get me started on the cloud de Paris guilloche pattern 🤔 This Laureato is an integrated bracelet classic and is one of our hottest pieces at a very wearable 42mm!
TUDOR BLACK BAY TUDOR 54
We love how the Black Bay line expanded into a smaller, 37mm case size, which honors the brand’s original 1954 dive watch. This latest version comes with a COSC-certified in-house MT5400 movement… and tons of snazz!
SEIKO LUXE HIGH BEAT PROSPEX SEA SLA073
Speaking of awesome diver watches, this PROSPEX runs on Seiko’s high-beat 8L35 movement, with an impressive power reserve of 50 hours 🤯 Along with 200m of water resistance and a super cool blue dial, this is the only watch you may want to “sea” this weekend.
