Hot List: September 22, 2023

This week, we’re swinging for the fences! From a heavy-hitting Laureato, to a field-playing Longines, to a Seiko 5 that really legs it out, this Hot List is a triple threat! Step into the box and get ready to swing some lumber! ⚾

SEIKO 5 SPORTS – BRUCE LEE

seiko-5-sports-bruce-lee

Fifty years ago, the world said goodbye to one of the greatest martial arts professionals of all time. Just days after Bruce Lee passed away, his masterpiece “Enter the Dragon” premiered just up the road from Feldmar, forever changing martial arts films. In 2023, Seiko salutes Lee with a dragon-motif dial in this limited edition! 🥋

BELL & ROSS BR-X5 ICE BLUE

Home team? Dodger blue 🧢
Hit by pitch? Black and blue 🩹
Recovery ice bath? Ice blue 🧊

Whether you’re taking a base or venturing further afield, the Bell & Ross BR-X5 can take a knock and keep running.

GIRARD-PERREGAUX LAUREATO ABSOLUTE 8TECH

Put me in coach! Like any great centerfielder (aka, the “8 spot”) the Laureato Absolute 8Tech can do it all. With precise chronograph timing and premium carbon case construction, this GP puts it all together – and makes it look easy!

TUDOR BLACK BAY CHRONO 41MM

During his career, Pablo Sandoval may have been “Big Panda”, but we prefer a more reasonably-sized panda 🐼 Namely, the Tudor Black Bay Chrono! At 41mm, this one’s the right size for our wrist and still manages to hit it out of the park!

ANGELUS CHRONODATE TITANIUM

You don’t need to go to Fenway to see the Green Monster 🐊 Just come to Feldmar! The all-titanium Angelus Chronodate features an easy to read dial layout including prominent white numerals that are giving us major scoreboard vibes!

BVLGARI BVLGARI 33MM

bvlargi-33mm

And it’s a double! Actually, it’s the watch so nice, they named it twice 😂 Bulgari’s Bulgari collection is full of gems, but we’re particularly drawn to this green-dialed beauty. At just 33mm, it’s a great fit for smaller wrists 👯‍♀️

LONGINES HYDROCONQUEST GMT

Sinker? Marlins? Diving catch? Mariners? 🌊 Plenty of baseball terms are aquatic in origin and with teams playing in all sorts of timezones, it’s helpful to pair a GMT with your water-friendly timepiece. Does that make the new Hydroconquest from Longines the perfect baseball watch? We’ll let you decide!

TISSOT PRX 35MM – POWERMATIC 80

tissot-prx-35mm-powermatic-80

With the new rule changes this season, baseball games are about 30 minutes shorter than they were last year. If you prefer things short and sweet, check out the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80, now in a compact 35mm!

TAG HEUER MONACO

What makes a great watch? Iconic design? Brilliant engineering? Premium materials? Whatever the answer, we can all agree it’s much more than a hunk of metal! 🚀 With a destro feature, this TAG Heuer Monaco is fit for everyone including southpaws, and with one of the most recognizable cases ever designed, you won’t need to bang on a trash can to know what’s coming next!

FRANCK MULLER VANGUARD – COLORADO GRAND

If you’re an A’s fan, you probably moved on from baseball sometime in April. That’s alright – maybe your attention landed on motorsports? 🚗 The Colorado Grand Rally just wrapped up and what better way to celebrate a 1,000 mile ramble through the Rockies than with these commemorative Vanguards from Franck Muller? Shop the silver and the red.

About The Author: Tom Roth

author

Born in Washington state, Tom developed an interest in photography during college at University of San Diego. There, he got started in music journalism, interviewing artists and taking photos at concerts. A life-long tinkerer and collector, it wasn’t long before Tom became fascinated with fountain pens and watches.

Those interests collided in November 2020 when Tom started at Feldmar Watch Company where he lives out every watch geek’s dream: photographing and writing about timepieces. When he’s not tinkering with his watch collection, Tom can be found traveling, biting his nails while watching PNW sports teams, and taking flying lessons.
